TE AROHA ELECTORATE.
MR G. V. STEWART AT PAEROA

Paeboa, Thursday. Mb Georgk Vksev Stewart, addressed the Paeroa electors last night, the meeting being very disorderly. Ha criticised Mr Allen's address at great length. No votes of any kind were passed, owing to the disorder. A public meeting re Mr Alien s candidature is to be held next Monday. Mr Allen, although absent, is the favourite at Paeroa.
Auckland, Last Night. The total number of voters on the city roll is 7,198, less about 450 names struck out in the purging process. Tho Newtor roll on which the last number was 2,714 has quite six hundred names ruled off, and the Eden roll on which the highest number is 2,516 has about 300 names struck out. The Parnell roll contained 2804 names of which about 150 were ruled off, leaving about 1,050 bona fide voters. The Waitemata roll contains 3,038 names, the erasures boing slightly over one hundred, leaving voters at about 2,930.
