BLENHEIM, Last Night. Tho first sale of hind in the direction of breaking up tho large stations which has taken place in Marlborongh c.iuuo off yesterday, when Mr Clifford's Awaterc estate was put up by auction and by private sale. Nine lots totalling 2347 acres wore sold for £13,143 or an average of £0 12s per acre. Some buyers came from Canterbury and other parts of tho colony. A young man named Jellyinan was fined 30s and costs to-day, for mocking those giving testimony at the Salvation Army. A man named Evans is reported to have been drowned crossing the river Jordan.
