Tho Government has reduced the military in tho barracks, in view of the strike being almosr. at an end. The maritime associations have resolved to urge that the Government secure the management of shipping traffic as well as railways. They repudiate the idea that the strike is OVOi\ Adelaide, October 28. About a. thousand men on strike rushed the wharves at the port to-day where the free labourers are employed, and severely handled the latter. A huge body of police were called out, and eventually the wharves were cleared.
