HAMILTON DOMAIN BOARD.
Tub usual monthly meeting of the Hamilton Domain Board was held on Tuesday evening at 7.30 o'clock in the Borough Council Chambers. There were present Messrs Goates, ch.lirm.ln. Dey, Tippon, Bell, lleirl, Slado, Wood, Parr, and Scott.
Boat Housk.—Ah application from Mr Q. H. Cuter to shut, Ins bmt shed to the end of the lake near the Park Reserve was granted.
I-'ences. —Mr T. Jolly wrote α-slcing to have the fences removed from across the road runnins; down to tho lalce along his boundary fence, and also along the road between his property nnd tho Domain lands occupied by Messrs Hunio and CnsKon and Mrs Givymie; It was resolved that the fences be removed to their proper boundary and a committee consisting of the Chairman and Messrs Parr and Scott was appointed to sec that the we ek was carried out.
Xkw Road Wantkd.— Mr T. .Tolly wrote further asking that the road running from the Frinkton road to the railway line between his property and the land leased liy Mr Qualtrougli be formed. He stated that the road was 0110 and a-half chains wide and it had just been cleared of furzo, but it was tv.) much to expect that the furze be kept down uuless the road is formed- The secretary was instructed to inform Mr Jolly that he be allowed to plough up the road to ono half its width so as to keep the furze under.
(xliAss.—The secretary was authorised to call for tenders for the grass on Sydney Square, to be off before 20th December. Cr. Wood alone dissented.
BiuiKSK.— Tho Chairman reported that the bridge over tho Domain drain on the road connecting the Cambridge and Hukanui roads is collapsing. At present nothing could be done to it, as there wua too much water in the drain, except to keep it in repair and lie had had that done on Saturday. He thought it would be best t'- replace the bridge with a culvert of two foot pipns. The matter was deferred to next mooting. Thanskkh.—An application from Mr IT. L. Hooper for tlie tran.-fer of the lease of tho Domain land now held by Mr J. M. (jelling was granted. Wokk.— Tho Ohairmar. reported that he had employed S. Tucker i.o clear thn furze in the Park Reserve and un account for the work amounting to £2 12s (id was passed for payment. This was all the business.
