The folmving nominations were received for the Northern Maori Electoral District : —Taiwhanga, Timoti Pnhipi, Hi linhana, Wlmkarangoura, and Hiremu Katene. EASTERN MAORI DISTRICT. (BY TELKGKA l* 1 1 1 — PRESS ASSOCIATION'.) N.u-ircii, Last Night. For the Eastern Maori Electoral District the following nominations wore received:— Carroll, Taiwhsuiga, Wi Pere, R. Sturm of Hawkes Bay, andT. W. Rimini, of Whakatanc. (BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION). AucKr.AND, Last Night. The electoral rolls show great disparity in tho new electorates. So far as the rolls have been made up the totals are as follows:— Eden, 2,348 ; Waitemata, 3,072 ; Barnell, 1,668 ; Manukau, 2,247 ; Newton, 2,070; Auckland City, (5,012. Between Waitemata (3,072) and Parnall (1(5158) there is a glaring difference, more especially when it is remembered that in the former the supplementary returns are excluded, while they are included in the I'arnell returns, and further that Waitemata, as a country electorate is entitled nnder the act to an advantage ot 331 per cent. CmusTCHL-ItOH, Last Night. William Hobson declares himself a candidate for Kaiapoi in the Liberal interest.
