The Earl is very rich and popular, and tho Countess is a great favourite in society. They will probably sail for Sydney towards the end of November. Lord Knutsford is delighted at the appointment, and considers that the Karl of Jersey will make a firstclass Governor. He was rather surprised that he accepted the position.
