SOUTH AUCKLAND RACING CLUB.
THE AUTUMN HANDICAP I >ISPVTK (UV IKLKGR.U'H.— OWN COIIIIKSI'ON'nKNT.) Auckland, Lust Night. The long-pending dispute over the payment of the Autumn Handicap stakes, run at the last {South Auckland Raiuig Club meeting, cauie before the committee of the Auckland Racine Club this afternoon. Mr G. H. Carter, Secretary, attended on behalf of the youth Auckland Racing Club, and the correspondence was read that had passed between the Club anil Messrs Keau and Walters. Mr I'\ Karl, solicitor, appeared personally for Mr Kcan, and read a long statement, showing that until the South Auckland Club had decided the dispute themselves the Auckland Club had no power to adjudicate on this matter. Mr Karl based his statement on rule 131 of the racing rules now in force. After a long consultation the committee took Mr Karl's view of the matter. It now remains for the South Auckland Club to decide the dispute, and Messrs Walters and Kcan may then appeal to the Metropolitan Club if dissatisfied.
