Pumpkins, good, 2s t)d to 3s ; others, lsGd to 2s ; piemelons, 2s 9d to 3s ; citrons, 3s tid ; kumeras, 7s. Bacon and hams, local cure, a fair supply to hand; good, well-got-np bacon made 7jd ; hams. Cheese has moved off slowly ; market bare of good quality; fanners', 3.\d to 4d ; factory loaves 3Ad; and 4Ad for larger size. Butter : Fresh has been again in short supply: and better prices obtained—Rood, Bjd ; medium, 5d to ; Tarauaki, 7jsd. Eggs , A fair supply to hand, demand quiet at Is (id to 2h per dozen. Honay sold at 2.jd to 3d ; white clover wanted at 3.M. In the poultry department there was our usual large supply of very good quality, and prices showed an advance on last week s quotations ; first-class table fowls realised Is 7d to Is lOd ; ordinary, Is 3d to Is (id ; poor, Is to Is Id; roosters in condition, Is «Jd to 2s 3d J poor, la to Is 3d ; gesse, 3s !)d ; turkey hens, 2s to 3s 3d ; gobblers, 4s Gd to Us 9d ; guinea-fowl and chicks, 19s. Pigs: Large supply, better demand—best lots, 9s IGd to 10s lOd ; others, 5s to bs. Fruit: A good supply of local—apples, Hd to 2Ad ; pears, 1M to 2Jd ; medlars, id ; lemons, 7d to 9d por dozon ; oranges, 3s per case, and 7d per dozen. Dead rabbits : Large supply, 10d to Is per pair. A consignment of Southern flour and oatmeal was sold at £9 for flour and £10 for oatmeal in 521b bags.
