HAMILTON ROAD BOARD.
Thk ordinary monthly meetingof the above Board was held on Saturday afternoon. Present : Messrs Jones, Qualtrough, and Livingstone. The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. Letters were received from Messrs Peacocke, Wm. Gardiner, and James Raynes, asking that certain repairs to the roads be done. It was resolved tnat the letters and Mrltellicars acoouut for Sa 6d be held over until the next meeting. Resolved: • Ihat the general rate for the ensuing year of one half-penny in the pound on the ratable value of all property in the Hanultan Road District as advertised in accordance with the 17th Section of the rating Act 1882, be now confirmed." The following tenders for cutting on O'Brien's road, Pukete, were re- -• ceived'Thos. Olarkin, ( Jd per yard ;Mc- ' Gonnell and King, Bid per yard ; Ed. Rico, 7d per yard ; Robert Waite, 7d per yard ; Keed and Graham, (Jid per yard. Ueuolved : "That Messrs tyeed and Graham s> tender be accepted." The following acoounts were passed for payment : —J. G. Pannell, 5s 3d ; salary to clerk, £5; rent office, £1 ss; collector, £2 17s lOd.
