(l)V ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH—COI'VIUGHT.) Ottawa, May 30. Tilii Canadian Government arc considering a proposal to buy out tho French interests in Newfoundland. St Johns, May 30. The French marines ordered the Newfoundland fishermen to remove their tackle from the disputed district within 24 hoars. The men obeyed under protest. The British lobster factories have been closed ; American fishermen are .allowed to obtain bait. It is thought probable that Canada's suggestion to settle the question by purchasing the French lights will be adopted. May 31. French officers in uniform landed at St. George's Bay and forbade the local fishermen from following their calling. Juno l. Sixteen hundred troops from Halifax, Nova Scotia, have been ordered to proceed here. London, June 1. It is hoped that H.M.s. Emerald, on the North American station, will restrain the action of the Frenchmen forbidding fishermen to fish in St. George's Bay.
