Further particulars of the wreck of the British India Company's steamer Dacca have reached here. It appears that the ill-fated vessel struck the north face of the Daedalus reef in the Rod Sea about six o'clock in the morning. Tho bow wa3 stove in, but the airtight compartments kept her afloat for some time and she did not sink until nearly four hours niter she struck. There was a large number of immigrants on board but they were all safely landed on the rock, every assistance being rendered by the lighthouse-keeper. The Palcoota conveyed all hands to Suez where the immigrants are now located, waiting an opportunity to proceed to their destination. Before the immigrants were rescued from the rock many of them were standing up to their waists in water. The steamer drifted a mile away from tho scene of the accident and the officers aud crew who were on board worn rescued by the steamer Rosario just before she foundered. The immigrants have lost all their effects.
