(by telegraph—press association), DUNE DIN, Last Night. Mr Twopenny has resigned the editorship of the Daily Times, owing to a disagreement with the Board on matters of policy. The congregational welcome to the Rev. Davidson was a brilliant success. The Garrison Hall was crowded during the evening. It was announced that £2000 had been contributed in a few days' for extinguishing the debt, which now stands at £SOO, but it is expected it will be entirely extinguished in a few days.' Several rich donations were received including one of £500. WESTPOKT, Last Night. Mrs O'Connor, wife of Mr O'Connor, M.H.R., died last night. Sickness is very prevalent at present. Last week's coal export : 4,084 tons. THAMES, Last Night. A strong easterly gale, with heavy rain, set in on Saturday night. The weather is now cleaving. No damage reported. Last night the Karaka Creek nearly over-flowed its banks. PATKA, Last Night. A chapter of accidents have occurred here. On Saturday a child of Mr Barkes' was found dead in bed. A little son of Mr J. Dicksou fell off a cart, and broke his back, death resulting instantly. A daughter of Mr Brown, of Kakaramea, has been missing since Saturday, and no trace of her cau be found.
