LATEST AUCKLAND NEWS.
(by telegraph.—own correspondent.) Auckland, Last Night. This treasurers of the local committee in connection with Mr Dillon's mission have received acknowledgement of £807 collected in the Auckland districts towards the Evicted Tenants' Fund. The letter speaks in cordial terras of the liberality of the colonists. Brisk business on exchange to-day. Bank New Zealand shares changed hands at £6 (old), £5 4s (new) , ; New Zealand Loan and Mercantile £3, buyers at £3, and no sellers. New Zealand Insurance shares, buyers at £3 Bs, whilst sellers held for £3 10s. In mining stock, Caledonian advanced from 3s 2d to 4s, in consequence of a haul of picked stone. Try Flukes sold for 7s 10d to Bs, with buyers at 7s Gd, and sellers 8s ; Dives changed hands at 2s 7d, and Norfolks at 23 9d.
