RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL.
A special meeting of the above Council was held in the Council Chambers, Raglan, on Wednesday, April 23rd. Present: the Chairman (Cr. Mitchell), Crs. Langley, McGuirk, and Hunt. Resolutions.—The following resolutions were carried, viz Pro. by Cr. Langley and seconded by Cr. McGuirk: "That a special order be made to borrow the sum of £400, under the Loans to Local Bodies Act, to complete the Raglan wharf. Proposed by Cr. McGuirk and seconded by Cr. Langley: "That Mr Bates be appointed slaughterhouse Inspector for the Pirongia and Karatnu tidings." Proposed by Cr. McGuirk and seconded by the chairman: "That MrT. Hunt be appointed slaughterhouse Inspector for Onewhero riding." Proposed by Cr. Langley and seconded by Cr. McGuirk: "That Mr J. B. Somerset be appointed slaughterhouse Inspector for the Karioi riding."
This being nil the business of the special meeting, tho Council will hold their ordinary meeting in May, when a large quantity of business will come before them, necessitating at least two days' sitting of the Council.
