(BY TELEGRAPH, —OWN CORRESPONDENT.) Auckland, Last Night. Ihk appeal against the decision of Justice Connolly in the Te Kooti case comes on for hearing in the Appeal Court on the 25th inst. It is probable that if Judge Connolly's decision is upheld the Government will not proceed further, but it is the intention of Te Kooti's council, in the event * of the decision being adverse to, take the case beture the Privy Council. At the Police Court, to-day, Sir William Fox imposed the full legal penalties fop drunkenness, fining first offenders i'l and second offenders £3 each. At the Board of Education meeting, today, Mr Upton retired from the chairmanship, and Mr Richard Udy was elected to •ucceed him.
