PANIC IN MELBOURNE
(BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH.—COPYRIGHT.) Melbourne, April 10. A slight panic occurred in the city through the telephone wires coming in contact with the wires used for electric lighting purposes, and thus causing several incipient fires. The Government having been approached on the subject, they have stated their intention to introduce a Bill for effectually supervising overhead wires.
