The Clarence River is higher than in ISS7, and the town of Grafton is almost submerged, water in some instances reaching the eaves of large buildings. The flood is now receding. Meki:oi:k.\i3, March 13. Victorian agricultural statistics for the year ISS9 90 show a large increase in the yield of wheat, oats, and hay. The quantity of wheat produced was 11;304,000 bushels, or an average of 9.85 bushels per acre. Oats, 5,611,000 bushels; average, 2,'5 89 per acre. Potatoes, 145,800 Ions; average, 3'37 tons per acre.
