COLONIAL DEFENCE.
THE NEW CRUISERS. DELAY IN CONSTRUCTION. (by ELECTRIC telegraph.-—copyright). London, March 13. In reply to a question to-day, Lord George Hamilton, First Lord of the Admiralty, admitted that there had been delay in the construction of the Australian cruisers, but stated they would be ready for service in the summer, and provision would be made in the estimates for officers and stores for the vessels. ;
