Mitchell, Governor of Natal has wired to Mr Kruger, President of the Transvaal express-' iug his dissapproval of the disturbances which took place at Johannesburg when the mob prevented Mr Kruger from addressing a meeting, and regretting the insult which was offered to the Transvaal flag. In the face of Mr Mitchell's communication, it is not considered probable that Mr Kruger will punish the rioters.
