TAUWHARE.

Harvkst Festival.—A harvest thanksgiving service was held at Tauwhare on Sunday afternoon. Tho schoolroom was decorated with native plants and products of- the garden and the harvest fiold. The :fruitß.iand vegetables used in decoration have been sent to the Waikato Hospital. ' Salvation , Arkt.—On Monday evening Captain Wood and Lieut. Grantham of the Salvation Army held a farewell mooting in Tauwhare, , The school was comfortably filled. That these officers were popular in Tauwhare was evidenced by tho interest and attention shown by tho audienco dining the evening, and by tho excellent behaviour of all who were present. In fact tho meeting was as quiet as many church and this cannot be said of many army meetings. We all regret that these two Salvation Army officers are leaving the Waikato. '
