' Agricultural Shows.—The secretary of the Mengero Farmers' Club wrote :--" The club are taking into consideration tho holding of an agricultural, show, and would like to' an opinion "from" your club as to whether arrangements could lie made to hold tho show alternately—say,.one year in the neighbourhood of Auckland, one year at Cambridge, and one year at 'Pulrekolio, ns we are of opinion that si show held in this way would.benirt.ro euccea-ifnl than one depending on each of (iur respective districts." Meat Fkeezixg at Tauiiaxga.— No reply hiving been received frum the Tauvanga County Council, to a. number of questions re this matter, 1101 definite step* could be taken ; but in the ineiiiitiiiie it was decided t'> pet as many guarantees as possible. Mr R. Reynolds had already obtained guarantee* fur 5,000 sheep, and another 1,000 was guaranteed by n member, present. It was resolved to write to the Bmk of Now Zealand and Loan and Mercantile) Directors, asking how far they would be prepared to support the scheme.—We sincerely trust the Viig companies will not hold aloof, as it will be impossible for the small settlers to carry the scheme to a successful issue by themselves. A GniKVANCE.—Mr J. S. Bond reported that the contractor for carrying the mails from Hamilton refused to bring the. newspapers'. 'It was resolved to telegraph to Mr Biss re the ui'si'ttev.
