SOUTH AUCKLAND RACING CLUB.

.—. —.& The c munittee appointed to select a steeplechase course in connection with the above Club made an inspection of the ground yesterday, and succeeded in l.iyinsr otf a capital course, c imprising about nineteen jumps, of a varied character, the whole of which cm be seen from the grandstand without difficulty. The work will bo taken in hand at once, and a steeplechase will be a featuro of the autumn meeting at the Club's gathering in April next. In the cpinion of many it only needed an event of this nature to mako the programme of the South Auckland Racing Club perfect. We hope the .spitited .action of the Club will achieve the success it merits.
