PUHIPUHI SILVER LODES.

Mr Gordon, Inspector of Mines, has reported favourably on the Puhipuhi silver lodes and he has made the following recommendation to the Minister of Mine*, that the forest be opened for mining, but before such is done that regulations be made under tho Mining Act, 188G, for prospectors' licenses and prospectors' mining leases, &c, be amended, so as to enbody conditions necessary to working ground in a State forest outside of mining districts.
