« Harvesting.—Harvesting is now going on in this part of the district, but few farmers will have their minds at easo until the crops are safely stacked and threshed. The weather is inn?t extraordinary for this timo of year, frequent showers, gales and very cold at times, but as yet, however, no harm as been done to the grain. Notwithstanding the odds given to the ladies, the gentlemen were victorious, winning by five wickets and three runs. The ladies, however, are not disheartened at their defeat, and have challenged the victors to another match to come off at the same place on Saturday weak.
