ACCIDENT AT HAMILTON STATION.
4. As accident happened yesterday afternoon at the Hamilton West station, shortly beforo the 2.30 train arrived, to Mr John Dscgan, who was helping the porter to p-.ish n couple nf loaded trucks into the goods shed. Whilst in the act of shoving backwards, as is the usual plan adopted, he caught his foot in the points and the second truck coming along before he bad time to clear himself cut his boot and severely bruised his heel. Mr Deegan was assisted into his coach and he drove home, where he had his foot bandaged. He then returned to Hamilton and had h ; s injuries attended to by Dr. Murch. We aro happy to say no bones were broken, but the heel i\ so severely crushed that it will be some time before Mr Deegan will have the proper use of it.
