ARRIVAL OF THE AORANGI.
[BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION']. Wellington, Monday, '£! < u The Aorangi, from Hoburt, has arrived. The following are the passengers for AucK, land Saloon : Miss Cooke. Seconiijjj, cabin : Mrs Law, Miss Waite, Messrs, r Howarth, Kavanagh, Woolvation, ani 1 Jackson, and eight in steerage. The A'irangi was berthed at 1 o'clock. She left Plymouth, after having been de-, t lined by a fog, on the 10th November,' with 300 bags mails, 13 boxes parcels post, ' 232 passengers, and 56 boxes of specie. t She arrived at Tenerilfe on November 21st, Capetown on December 7th, and Hobart on December 25th. Sydney J. Perrin, a second-class passenger, died of phthisis on the 3rd December. Fine weather was experienced throughout the passage. The scarlet fever victim on the Aorangi was a child. As soon as the disease shoved itself every precaution was taken to prevent its spreading to the other passengers, the mother and child being removed to the hospital and put ashore when Hobart was reached. The vessel received a clean bill from Hobart, and the Health Officer here passed her without demur.
