BANK OF NEW ZEALAND.
(NY ELECTRIC TELEGRAFII.—COI'VRIGHT). Svdkky, December 10. The Sydney Morninsr Herald thinks it is not surprising that the last report ot the Bank of New Zealand caused a little excitement in London, for what happens in the colonies can scarcely fail to happen in London, and distance often exaggerates the importance of events of this character. The Herald considers it would be as well, perhaps, were Buckley's charges more specifically met than lias yet been done. Taking the case, however, at its worst, there does not appear any cause for alarm, but, on the contrary, there is reason to hope that the Bank will share in the returning prosperity of the colony.
