There lias been no wagering straight out on the Auckland Cup yet, but Hilda promises to start a warm favourite. Recruit was scratched for the Steeples at half-past ten o'clock this morning. Tirailleur, Jet d'Eau, Renata, Reprisal, Vendetta, Fiesole, Pygmalion, Chemist, and Volcano arrive by the Te Anau tomorrow.
