WAITOA ROAD BOARD.

The ordinary monthly meeting of the Waitoaßoad Board took place in the Nottingham Castle lintel, Morrinsville, on Saturday, the 30th November. Present: Messrs W. P. Ghepmcll (in fcho chair), H. Burnett, J. Horrell and J. Turnbull. Among the correspondence was a letter from the clerk to the Ohinemuri County Council, reporting that when the allocation of native rates of the Ohinemuri county is made, the Council will give due consideration to the proposal to open up a road to the Piako native settlement.— Mr J5. Voisey wrote, asking the Board to form the road from the main road at the Waihou saleyards to Mr H. Ross' propeity. The Board admittod the work would be a benefit, but found that there would be no funds available to do it. —A letter was received from the Public Trustee, requesting that the name of Mr Patrick O'Grady be put on the roll as occupier and owner (if section 20, block 12, To Aroha.— A letter was received from the PaymasterGeneral, intimating that the sum of £4 lls 3d had been remitted to the credit of the Board, as arrears of rates on Crown Lands. —A letter was received from the Commissioner of Crown Lands, enclosing a cheque for £51 Us, being third of deferred payments and amounts on account of perpetual lease lands.—The following tenders were received for the contract on Taylor's Road : —Niland and Cronin, £12 9s ; P. Dillon, (accepted), £8 lHs; T. Stanley, £10; H. Ross, £10 10s; O. McCabe, £10 ; 15. Yoysey, £10 ISs Gd. The following tenders were received for the contract near Farmer's :—P. Dillon, 7s 10d ; T. Stanley, Ss ; O. McCabe, (accepted), 7s : C. Murphy, 10s 9d ; Jas. Orr, 'Js. For the contract near Woods' the following tenders wero received:—P. Dillon, £4 19s; T. Stanley, £5 . H. Ross, £5 ; ().
