RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL

Special Meeting.

A si'KCiAi, meeting of the above Council was held in the Council Chambers, Raglan, on Wednesday, November 27th, ISS'J. — Present : — Cra. Mitchell (chairman), Mathias, Hunt, Sherrett, McGuirk, Brooks, and Langley. Pirongia Riding.—Cr. McGuirk proposed and Cr. Hherrett seconded and it was carried unanimously, " That in accordance with the petition received from the ratepayers of the Pirongia Riding, a special older be made dividing the riding into two ridings, to be called the Pirongia and Karamu Ridings."

Borrowing Powers. —Proposed by Cr. Brooks and seconded by Cr. McGuirk and carried, " That the provisions of the Loans to Local Bodies Act be brought into force by the County Council."
