HOSPITAL BOARD REPRESENTATIVE.

TO TUB EDITOR Silt, — I see that tho Hamilton Borough Council havo again done a very funny, or rather improper thing, in nominating Councillor 10. T. Davey to represent the Borough Council ou the Hospital and Charitable Aid U iard. A short time since they did not think fit to put His Worship the Mayor r,n the " Works Committee," the committeo that really lias the spending of all tho funds; and now they evidently do not consider him a tit representative to be on the Hospital Board. A truly wonderful body of men, are our sapient Councillors, and they forcibly remind one of the old adnjj.i, " I'ut a tiegsar on horseback, etc., etc." What will MrD.tvoy think of it the next time tenders are called for groceries for tho hospital, and he will not be able to tender for the suppliesHo many burgesses consider this matter as a direct slight on the Mayor that I think 1 am jusliliod in writing ou the subject. Another thing, why did the Council not. elect their repiesentative at the last meeting, ft, was quite in order that they should have done so, but the majority allowed themselves to be " bluffed " by one of their numoer, and so neglected their duty in the matter, with tho result, that the Borough of Hamilton may be disfranchised from the Hospital Board for some time to come.—l am, <fcc., MOUKii.
