Information has been received here that the Gorman expedition organised for the relief of Eruin Bey, has met with great hostility from the natives at Vitu, where a fierce battle was fought, and Dr. Peters, who commanded the expedition, and the whole of his party, with two exceptions (one native and one European), were massacred.
