STRIKE AT THE KAIAPOI WOLLEN MILLS.

OvKit 25 employees at the Kaiapoi Clothing Factory went' out on strike at noon 'm Saturday in accordance with orders from the Union, because the Company declined to accede to the request to employ only Union hands. The weekly wage ham-Is save .a week's notice. About 70 non-Union hands remained. Tim Company is receiving numerous applications for employ men t from all parts of the colony, and the strike is not likely to affect operations.
