OMAHA MURDER CASE

The Omaha murder case was resumed today, and several native witnesses were examined, among them being Te Mnna and Iraia Karauria (brother-in-law and brother of the deceased respectively), and Miriania (wife of one of the ploughmen). Each of them gave evidence as to having seen the prisoner shoot the murdered man, and Miriania also stated that she had taken away the weapons from the prisoner after three shots had been fired. The Court adjourned at 5.30 p.m. until to-morrow, tho jury being again locked up. It is expccted that the case for tho Crown will occupy all day to-morrow, and, as a number of witnesses will be called for the defence, the case will not be over before Saturdny.
