CURIOUS ELOPEMENT CASE.

The Rome correspondent of the Central News writes :—" The popular Italian tenor, Rinaldi, possesses a magnificent voice and a had wife. Three years age he returned to this country from South America, where he had amassed a considerable fortune. He established himself in a pretty villa at Porticii, where he looked forward to a happy enjoyment of his earnings. Unfortunately for his peace of mind, his wife had an illicit love, and she eloped with her paramour, taking with her her husband's fortune. The guilty pair were discovered, but not until a large part of the money wassquandered. The paramour was condemned toprison, and Rinaldi pardoned his wife. He then returned to South America to recoup himself by the efforts of his splendid voice. He soon made a second fortune,, and once more set sail to Italy, believing his troubles at an end. But by the time of hia arrival the illicit lover's term of imprisonment had expired, and he renewed his advances to the wicked signora, vvhe again lent a too willing ear to the voice of the charmer. Again the guilty couple fled, the incorrigible wife carrying off between 150 and 200 thousand francs, which constituted the bulk of Signor Rinaldi's second fortune. The runaways have this time made a more successful elopement' and have hitherto eluded the effects of the police to discover their hiding place, while Rinaldi is left to mourn over his vanished life and fortune.' .
