TE AWAMUTU TOWN BOARD.
At an adjourned meeting of the To Awamutu Town Board, on Thursday, it was resolved that the resignation (sent in some time ago), of Mr Carley be accepted, and that the returning officer be informed thereof. Railway Rktorm.— It was resolved to acknowledge the letter received from the secretary of the Railway Reform League and thi't he be informed that the board was in sympathy with and would assist in the movement. Impounding.—The ranger was instructed not to impound animals otf the run during the remainder of this month, but that all must bo impounded after that date until further notice from the board that the run is again open fora short period. Wouks.—The Public Works Committee was requested to inspect and report upon the works and repairs required to put th o roads and foothpaths in order. Rates.—lt was resolved that no rate be struck this year.
