She intends to make another trip next week, when she will bring down the machinery lor Mr Hall's flax mill, after having discharged the boiler and other parts of the machinery on the coast opposite the mill site, she will then come into the harbour and take back with her the remainder of the flax she could not convey away this trip. Whaiif. —Our new wharf isnearinp completion, and I hear it is intended to celebrate the ripening of it in a suitable manner. The Northern Steam Ship Company intend running an excursion steamer from Onehunga for the occasion, and it is to be hoped that arrangements will also be made for the conveyance of our Waikato friends. Weathku. —During the last few weeks we have had a continuance of wet weather, and this is certainly one of the wettest spring seasons ever remembered here. Farming operations have been in consequence much retarded. On Wednesday afternoon wo had in some parts of the districts a very heavy fall of hail, the hail stones being of great size, many of them as large as walnuts.
