HAMILTON LIGHT INFANTRY.

Thk third competition for the Lndean medal by members of tllft Hamilton Light Infantry took place on Saturday. A heavy N.W. wind prevailed throughout the afternoon, and this had a tilling effect at the ionff ranges. The scoring, however, on the whole was much better than on the previous occasions this medal has been fired for, for although the top score is the lowest that has yet secured tho prize there were not such big gaps between the scores of the winner and those immediately behind him as in former competitions. The trophy on this occasion goes to Lance-Sergt. Alexander, and the win was a popular one, as Alexander always fires consistently, and is a persevering and improving marksman. Lieut. Kirk was in charge of the squad and Vol. J. O'Neill of the marker's butts, the smart manner in which tho latter handled the discs boing favourably commented upon. The following are the scores: —
