SOUTH AUCKLAND RACING CLUB

A MEETING of the Club's committee was held in the Commercial Hotel last night, at which it was resolved to hold the summer meeting on Saturday, December 21st. The sum of £300 vail bo given away in stakes. A new feature in the club's programme was decided upon. A Waikato Produce Stake of £50 will be offered, to be run at the summer meeting of 1891, provided sufficient support is given by owners of thoroughbreds travelling in the Waikato. The meeting was very unanimous, and there is a great probability of a steeplechase being included in the summer programme, which will, of course, add very much to the attraction of the meeting. The new training track has been completed, and is in good order.
