MR ROTH WELL IN REPLY.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—l beg to say that I never used the word "chuck" with reference to the machine which was caught in the culvert; the word was "jack" it out, it being a printer's error. However I shall cease from any more correspondence on the subject. lam prepared to substantiate anything I have said. If the member of the Board only had the manliness to sign his own name I might have taken more notice, but as it is I shall let the matter drop.—Thanking you, sir, for your kindness and impartiality, I remain, yours &c.
