Referring to the New Zealand lean the Sydney Morning Herald doubts whether it is wise of New Zealand to renew the debt at B.V per cent., because the elfect will be to increase the capiti'l amount of the debt which is already very large. The Herald thinks the credit of tho colony is not sufliciently good to justify the hope that the loan will go olf except at a considerable discount.
