CAMBRIDGE DOMAIN BOARD.
Tlffi above Board met at p.m. on Thursday. Present: Messrs T. Wells (chairman), E. Hewitt and J. Fisher. The minutes of the previous meeting wero read and confirmed.
Akkkaik or Runt.—Mr Wells moved that application be made to the Governor to sue all defaulting lessees who are two quarters in arrears. —Seconded by Mr Fisher and carried.
Bank Ovhkdhaft.—The overdraft at date was Is lid ; but there is Will 15s lid rents that were due on M i.y 10th, thus leaving only about £13 when the latter are paid. Thk Camisridgk Wbst Ciimbtkuy.— I The tenders for clearing the cemetery around were: James llicks, £o 10s; Win. Harris, £10. —On the proposition of Mr Fi>her, seconded by Mr Hewitt, it was resolved to accent Hicks' tender. For the ploughing there was only one tender received, viz., .fames Harris, at 12s per acre.—lt was resolved to let the matter stand over until the next meeting.—The Chairman suggested that Mr Fisher should appoint some competent person who resided in Cambridge West to see that the grubbing of furze and briars was properly done, and lie was authorised accordingly. Thk Swans.—On the motion of the Cliairman, seconded by Mr Fisher, hearty vote of thanks was accorded Mr E. Cussen for the swans that he had presented to the Board, which have unfortunately met with an untimely end. Lor 17. —After considerable discussion, it was resolved to let Lot li by tender for a further term of one year from the 10th proximo. Tenders will be returnable at a meeting to be liela at the beginning of August. This was all the business.
