DAMAGE TO RAILWAY LINES.

(by telegraph—own cokrksfonoest). Auckland, Friday. Heavy landslips have occurred on the Kaipara 'railway, north of the Waitakeri tunnel. The line is blocked, but is expected to be clear to-morrow night. There has been an extensive slip between Helensville and Kankapakapn, which will occupy a week to clear it. There is great danger of a serious slip on the Waikato lino near Pokeuo, caused by heavy rains. A full may occur to-night.
