HAMILTON DOMAIN BOARD
The usual monthly meeting of the Hamilton Domain Board was held at 7.15 p.m. on Tuesday evening in tho Borough Council Chambers. There were present: Messrs I. Coates (chairman), Tippen, Salmon, Wood, Davey, Bell and Lees. Skddon's Drain.—Mr S. T. Seddon wrote, calling the Board's attention to the state of tho Hamilton East main drain, the banks having been broken down by cattle during tho summer. He suggested that a man be put on for a few days to clean it out otherwise it would be useless during the coming winter.—Mr Salmon moved that the Foreman of Works inspect the drain and report to the chairman who will have power to act. —Seconded by Mr Lees and carried.
Transfer. —It was decided to allow Mr Bygravc to transfer tho domain lands leased by him to Mr Meacliem on the usual conditions being complied with,
Secretary.—The Chairman moved that Mr C. .T. W. Barton be appointed secretary to the Board on and after the Ist July next. —Seconded by Mr Salmon and carried.
Fencing.—The Chairman gave notice to move at an adjourned meeting of the Boaid to be held on July oth, that tho fencing materials of both commonages, East and West, be offered by public auction at an upset prico of Ss Gd per chain. The Board adjourned to July oth, to allow of a report re Bradley's paddock being brought up, and to discuss the above notice.
