Melbourne, June 15. An Order-in-Council has been issued in the Gazette appointing a special anchorage for foreign men-of-war. None of the foreign vessels will be permitted to land armed parties.
The Indiau Government are prepared to purchase 2000 horses in Australia for army service.
The premises of Schneiber and Schafer, German importers, were destroyed by fire last night. The damage is estimated at £30,000, and the insurance's amount to £21,000.
