Sir, —Will you kindly correct in Tuesday's issue, a very serious error in printing my letter in Saturday's supplement ; about the middle I am made to say—"the Easterns accuse the Westerns of altering doctrine by adding to the Pope the patriarchal authority of Constantinople, Antioch, etc." This is simply nonsense, a part of my manuscript has been omitted ; will you please find it and insert the paragraph after this letter. What I said was doctrine changed in the Nicene Creed (filioque clause) and papal supremacy an unsurpation of authority equally belonging to the Eastern Patriarchates, this is of course, outline. I hope you will be able to find aud insert the original paosage, There are other minor errors, viz., article of St. Patrick" for "on" St. Patrick probably a slip of my own, but I feel confident that I never wrote substraclion.
