LATEST WELLINGTON NEWS.
(liv TKLKGKAIMI,— PIUWS ASSOCIATION.) Wkllington, Wednesday. The Premier is busily engaged with the Financial Statement. It is unlikely any reduction in taxation will be proposed, as some £120,000 more will be thrown on the Consolidated Fund than before in the shape of buildings and other services, hitherto paid out of loans. Only £500,000 was spent out of the loan last year, exclusive of the cost of raising it, and with care Ministers think it might be made to last fivo years.
