(by telegraph.—press association.) Russell, Wednesday. Mawiiera from Fiji brings late news. Tho captain of tho Altinore's certificate was suspended for two years as it was considered that tho vessel was lost through gross carelessness. The Governor has left in 11.M.5. Rapid for Samoa. Two slight shocks of earthquake were felt at Levuka, Amongst the Mawhera's passengers are Mr Robb and family from the wrecked ship Altmore. Morrow, former secretary of the Arch Ilill lioad Board, who was arrested at Fiji on a charge of embezzling the funds of the Board is a passenger in custody of Constable O'Brien.
