THE TE AWAMUTU CAVALRY.
We have received a communication crmtniniii" the following resolution, passed at a meeting of the Troop Committee of the Ic Awamutn Cavalry, which, in justice to the corps, we think expedient to publish. Iho paragraph complained of was furnished by our local correspondent, ind was accepted in good faith:—"The Troop Committee have read an article in The Waikato TisiKS (under Te Awamutu news, 11th Miy) stating that since tho resignation of Captain Kutherford the troop has been gradually falling off in strength ; that there is nothing left but the skeleton of what it once was. Tlie above is contrary to fact, as the strength of the troop now is two (2) in excess of what it was when Capt. Kutherforil resigned. The Troop Committee desire to call jv.ur attention to the spiteful nature of the paragraph, and regret that snch a communication should hud space in your valuable paper."
