COLLISION IN AUCKLAND HARBOUR.

At about seven o'clock on Tuesday evening tlio Union Steamship Giuii|j;iny's steamer Australia, Captain Kemp, collided with the tug Awhina, which was bringing into port the American barque, E sex, Captain Schaube, inward bound in ballast from Brisbane. The Essex lost her bowsprit, and the Awhina was badly damaged in her bows, and was at once beached near Rangitnto reef. The Australia was only slightly injured.
